Burley: Mr Motivator
Burley: Mr Motivator

It seems that George Burley read the riot act after going down 4-1 to Manchester City on national TV, and had gone some way to motivate the team in the 1-0 win against Fulham last night.

Matt Holland said of the tirade: "The manager was not happy with our display in the FA Cup against Manchester City and he certainly let us know".

Matt played on the right of the midfield for the most part of last night's victory, and was one of his better games this season.

Whatever the manager said, it seemed to work as throughout the team everyone played their part and fought hard for the points. It wasn't an attractive game but Town deserved the victory as Fulham were reduced to only a few chances on goal. The appalling conditions certainly didn't help.

The position that Town find themselves in now is quite incredible after the doom and gloom before Christmas, and now find themselves a couple of points off mid-table, and two points ahead of the relegation places.
