Murphy Back for Blues Thursday, 5th Feb 2015 14:30 Championship top scorer Daryl Murphy is over his calf strain and will be back in the Town side which faces Rotherham at the New York Stadium on Saturday. Manager Mick McCarthy confirmed that the 18-goal hitman, absent for Saturday's 0-0 draw with Wigan, is back in action: “He’s fine, he trained today, he’s good to go. “After all the questions last week, ‘Did we miss him?’. You miss players and we have a squad and other people come in, but when you’ve got the leading goalscorer in the league you want him available and he is this week.” Dean Gerken (hip) and Luke Hyam (knee) are the only players currently sidelined but both are moving in the right direction: “Luke is progressing as well as can be expected. “It was a nasty injury, he strained his medial ligament and hopefully he’ll be back within the timescale, the six weeks. “And Gerks has been training but is not yet kicking a ball because it was his hip flexor so that needs to be protected. He’s back out and he’s progressing nicely.”
