![]() Saturday, 23rd Feb 2002 09:03 Former Town star Kieron Dyer is in legal strife after being charged with a driving offence. The England midfielder whas been charged with allowing another man drive his car without insurance. The Newcastle man and friend James Leech were allegedly stopped by police on August 4th last year in Rougham Road, Bury St Edmunds. Dyer, rated at £22 million in court, had been summoned to appear along with Leech before magistrates in Bury yesterday. However initial proceedings took place without him, his solicitor having sent a letter to the court. The case has been adjourned until March 15th and will be heard at Sudbury Magistrates court. Ipswich-based Leech is charged with driving without insurance and not producing a valid certificate of insurance to police.
