Clarke Starting for Pompey
Friday, 24th Jul 2015 19:31

Blues defender Matt Clarke is starting his second friendly for Portsmouth at Woking this evening.

Earlier today, Pompey manager Paul Cook revealed that the clubs are in talks regarding the 18-year-old joining his League Two side on loan.

Clarke previously played the first 74 minutes of Portsmouth’s 2-1 victory over Coventry on Tuesday evening.

Also on trial with Pompey and starting tonight’s match is former Blues keeper Brian Murphy, 32, who was released by QPR at the end of last season.

Has scored for Pompey to put them 2-0 up. Think he will be a real asset in league 2 and should arguably be playing in league 1.
