Marshall Accepts Blame Thursday, 7th Mar 2002 10:22 Town keeper Andy Marshall has said he was at fault for Robbie Fowler's goal for Leeds last night. Marshall was beaten by an uneven bounce, but he feels that despite that he ought to have got to it. The former England U21 said: "I put my hands up for the first goal. It bounced fairly high but I still should've saved it." The Town keeper feels he was unlucky to concede the penalty for Leeds' second goal: "It was never a penalty. He went right over me but I don't particularly blame him. I would expect my forwards to do the same. I blame the referee but I won't go into that." Town now have a week before their crucial six-pointer away at Blackburn. Whether to stay faithful to Marshall or bring back Matteo Sereni is one of the decisions George Burley will agonise over between now and then.
