Tuesday, 17th Nov 2015 22:00

Blues youngsters Josh Yorwerth and Dylan Connolly picked up U21 caps with Wales and the Republic of Ireland respectively as their sides drew this evening.

Central defender Yorwerth, who is currently on loan with Crawley, played the full 90 minutes and won his fifth U21 cap as Geraint Williams’s side drew 1-1 with 10-man Romania in a Euro 2017 qualifier in Wrexham.

Town keeper Michael Crowe was an unused sub and is still to make his debut for the Wales U21s, who are top of their group by a point.

Winger Dylan Connolly started and won his 10th U21 cap as Ireland drew 0-0 with Norway in a friendly in Waterford. The former Shelbourne man was subbed with seven minutes remaining. Ireland are now fourth in their group.
