![]() Tuesday, 19th Mar 2002 15:38 Former Town defender Mauricio Taricco has escaped a further ban after today's hearing into an incident involving Chelsea's Mario Melchiot in Spurs' Worthington Cup semi-final clash with Chelsea. He already faces a five match lay-off after his two recent sendings off. Taricco was fined £5,000 by the FA disciplinary committee who said: "The panel found Taricco guilty of improper conduct for which the penalty is at the discretion of the disciplinary commission. "On this occasion, the panel fined Taricco £5,000 and warned him as to his future conduct." His recent disciplinary problems have led to Town being linked with a move for their former player, something ruled out by George Burley while Spurs, and specifically David Pleat, have said they are not looking to off-load Taricco.
