U18s Win at Sheffield Wednesday

Town’s U18s beat Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 at their Middlewood Road training ground this morning.

Schoolboy Tristan Nydam opened the scoring with a left-footed freekick on 10, then skipper Ross Meldrum (pictured) added the second four minutes after the break with midfielder Nydam adding his second and the Blues’ third in the 70th minute.

Town again included trialist Pat Webber, a defender who is currently with Ryman League Premier Division Worthing.

On Monday, the U21s are in action away against Cardiff at the Bluebirds’ training ground (KO 2pm).

U18s: Wright, Salaudeen, Webber, Downes, Cole, Woolfenden, Jones, Nydam, Brown, Meldrum (c), Maynard. Subs: McGavin, Hayes, Cathline, Murrell, Cahill.
