This weekend's papers suggested a number of players that Town might be interested in before deadline day. George Burley, however has reiterated that he is not expecting any moves to or from Portman Road.

As well as repeating one or two names previously mentioned, the new names to come up were Cambridge striker Armand One and 20-year-old Luton defender Matt Taylor.

Town striker Marcus Bent was also claimed to be on his way to Leeds for £4 million.

George Burley, though played down all transfer talk: "There is bound to be speculation with the transfer deadline on Thursday. But there is unlikely to be anything happening in or out, this week."

More long-term, Matteo Sereni is claimed to be a target of Chelsea, although this is apparently dependent on Town signing Leicester keeper Ian Walker. We're not holding our breath.
