Season Ticket Sales Down Around 1,000

Town’s season ticket sales had reached just over 12,000 when the extended early bird deadline passed on Monday afternoon.

That total is around seven per cent down on the same point last summer, equating to around 1,000 seats.

Having surpassed 14,000 in the 2014/15 play-off campaign during which half-season tickets sold well, sales are back to the level they were in the summer of 2014.

@ jas0999 the attendance for the Barnsley game could be zilch if the local plod refuse us a safety certificate over their unpaid invoice.

It would be interesting to see the breakdown on season tickets. For example, how many first time season tickets are there. Are we attracting new fans to the club. Are more children's tickets being sold? If so that would mean a drop in sales. Are fans buying cheaper season tickets in other parts of the ground. The question is not how many season tickets we have sold, but how much revenue has been raised, it will be a greater decrease than the 7% on sales due to the extended early bird scheme.
