Away coach travel question
at 22:13 13 Sep 2025

Genuine question here. Given travel to Bristol City is 46 notes for adults and the prices have jumped up from last year. Do the club make a profit on it or is it just provided as a service?

I was in the queue at the shop this morning and got my tickets for family who are members no problem. I did raise an issue which got criticism and praise at the same time though. In that when ticket dates or times are advertised the club would appear to give little or no time before the tickets go on sale. For example I got an email for the Charlton game at 1.05pm when the ballot opened an hour before. Now for 10am ticket sales some people need to organise time off work to get to the shop for example. That never seems to happen, therefore it may give the illusion that it's deliberately done to catch people out.

I always had a degree of sympathy with Lambert. Its worth remembering that he inherited a train wreck from a ' young hungry manager' that many on here wanted.

Got email at 1.05pm today for the Charlton ballot at opening at 12pm. Interesting that the game is not until late October but tickets basically on sale next week. That's quite a large ticket window before a home game. I thought we had thousands of members last season.

John Deehan netted 12 in 86/87 in a front partnership with Jocky Wilson who netted 25 goals that season.

43 quid for a Friday night sky championship game with or without restricted view is not going to cut the mustard for many I'm afraid. Shows how quickly the hangers on fell off the wagon.

I noticed that whilst their are a lot of tickets still available. The Club have clearly amended the pricing structure. For example in some West Stand blocks it states Senior ticket £25 to £29. Have they been spooked by lack of demand?

Cost of beer inside PR: I’m surprised I haven’t seen this mentioned yet…

I posted this on a thread yesterday. Greene King Level Head has gone up to 6.95 a pint from I believe around 6.10.

How about Albert Day? Hat trick in the 5- 1 win at Carrot road in 1948?

I noticed a lady in front of me in SAR upper had a sausage roll that was definitely considerably smaller than last season.

I think it's reasonable to understand that the club wants to claw back revenue from dropping out of the Premier League. However, in reality you're not going to get a rush for Y block seats at 50 quid a pop for Say Oxford or Preston at home. In addition I noticed hospitality for the WSL fixtures at Col Who is 150 for adults. I think we have seen in the past where the club has tried to skin the punters and failed.

6.95 for a pint of Level Head, I think it was 6.10 last season.

Didn't see food prices but in Beatties Bar I noticed that the beer price had jumped up considerably. Did anyone else notice the same?

Home match ballots

My 2 family members as a pair had to wait till the Leicester game for success then got 4 more after that. I said on here about the lack of transparency from the club about communications sometimes but I guess sometimes if they had told us how many members there were then I guess some would look at the figures and declare not a chance of getting any tickets.

Have family members who have memberships for the last 3 years now due to not being able to get season tickets. Last year they got into 5 ballots out of 19 which was quite good I thought. However I'm pleased that so far this season they have been successful in 2 out of 3 ballots so far. Does this tell me the club have sold far fewer memberships this year?

Some facilities were indeed grim. I remember the open air bogs in the Darwin End at Blackburn. I also believe one or two other northern grounds had the same.
