Being there on the day I remember it well. My question in part was firstly, why were we not presented with the second division trophy ( not the sponsors one) and secondly what happened to all the divisional trophies? |

After Leeds won the top flight in 92, before football was invented. The winners of the trophy became the team that effectively won what is now the championship. However, does anyone know what happened to the original trophies for all the other divisional winners? For example their was separate original trophies for each of the division winners. Did the football league decommission the original trophies? [Post edited 21 Apr 19:24]

Agree 100 per cent. Unfortunately train services I guess are used as a political football like most things but what I don't understand is this. Some people don't like flying and I get that, but it's hard to find anyone who doesn't like being on a train. But yet as you say we make it as hard and expensive as possible and it's frickin annoying. Imagine if you could get on a train in Bournemouth after the game last Wednesday night and go all the way to Ipswich non stop, wouldn't that be a challenge but unfortunately it'll never happen. |

I reckon it's a fair bet that our first game back in the championship will be the opening game at 8pm on the Friday night. |

I was at that game on the Sunday morning, 11.30am kick off as we stood on the Holmesdale Road Terrace. Jim Melrose scored twice for Charlton and Steve Mccall with a late reply for town. Charlton stayed up after beating Leeds at Birmingham. |

I can't see the likes of Preston or Blackburn bringing more than about 500 or so down here, in particular as you look at the budgies. They have had 8 12.30 kos this season which will undoubtedly effect crowds. Plus I suspect unless we start like a steam train I guess demand will drop off. In addition I think tickets will stay unchanged for season tickets at least. |

It's worth noting and I may be corrected here, but I believe the budgies have had around 12 fixtures moved this season already and they have had around 8 fixtures at 12.30 on a Saturday. |

Perhaps we should put the circles and arrows on the pitch before the game. That way the pundits wouldn't have to tell us how they think our manager should or shouldn't manage our team with the benefit of hindsight! |

Back of west stand going up stairwell. Does anyone know about this? The chap on the door said you had to have a wristband to enter. |

I agree I just wanted to lighten the mood, unfortunately a lot of our support needs to chill out. |

Ron Weasley? Was at the game yesterday. Don't we need a Harry Potter character to get us out of this mess. |

There is a boozer right opposite the stadium called The Bramley Moore. I bet that will be a few rows deep at the bar on a match day! |

Upon entry to the west stand at various levels, I am sure like many others that there is a number of 'false doors' on the way up. Presumably these were put in when the building work was done. Is this to open up a new level and make the concorse wider if and when they add additional seats on the top? |

Just watched the highlights. I wasn't aware there was a beach in Colchester with a small amount of grass. |

This season reminds me very much of 1985-86. Birmingham and West brom down and we got involved in a 3rd bottom dogfight with Oxford and Leicester. I remember Oxford and running on the pitch after ian atkins scored off Jocky wilsons backside! Unfortunately the staggering statistic of that season is that we lost 17 of our 42 games 1-0. The reason it reminds me regarding this season is because in both seasons there has been no lack of endeavour. However , we may just not have enough in the tank. |
