Strong U23s Side Facing Crewe
Monday, 20th Mar 2017 11:50

Town will field a strong U23s side in this evening’s U23s game against Crewe Alexandra at Portman Road (KO 7pm).

Freddie Sears, Brett Pitman, Danny Rowe (pictured), who made his first-team debut as a sub at Cardiff on Saturday, Myles Kenlock and Josh Emmanuel could all be involved.

Jonny Williams may also be in line for a game having suffered a minor hamstring problem in his first U23s match following his shoulder injury a fortnight ago.

Speaking last week, manager Mick McCarthy said he expected defender Steven Taylor to play as he continued his recovery from his hamstring injury.

Sounds like a better team than we put out on Saturday especially if Bishop, Morris and Dozzell are playing.

Strong! We are not capable of fielding a strong team.

Think this could be a first team fixture in a couple of years if this bunch of clowns are still in charge

Stevelincsexile I agree with you. Half of those players should be in the full squad. It is one of MM's failings that he prefers the good old boys like Skuse and journeymen like Spence over our own home grown talent.

Seasider I agree with you. The way that this club is being mismanaged at both board and football level is painful to behold; MM should have been sacked after the Lincoln debacle.

Tufty I agree with you. You are more likely to see decent football at a fair price watching these than the firsts.
