Monday, 27th Mar 2017 16:31

Town's U23s were beaten 4-1 by Huddersfield at the John Smith’s Stadium this afternoon, Shane McLoughlin netting the Blues’ goal.

Olly Dyson put the home side in front three minutes before half-time, then Sam Warde made it two three minutes after the restart before the Blues pulled a goal back when McLoughlin, who can still play for Gerard Nash’s side during his loan spell at Bromley, netted from a near-post corner.

But further goals from Ronan Coughlan on 67 and Lewis O’Brien in the 71st minute sealed the victory for the Terriers.

Meanwhile, the U18s match at home to Crystal Palace which had been scheduled for tomorrow afternoon has been moved to Wednesday 19th April (KO 4pm) at Playford Road.

The match was initially due to be played in February but succumbed to the weather.

U23s: Hayes, Downes, Ndaba, McDonnell, C Smith, Webber, McKendry, Blanchfield, Morris, McLoughlin, Folami. Subs: Meldrum, McGavin, Lankester, Daniels, Wilton.
