Well, I said after the Leeds game my cup was half full; now it's more. Good team selection for this match although I think it'll be tweaked for Bristol City on Saturday. Obviously Waghorn goal and 3 assists make him MOM but several very good performances such as McG as usual this season, Skuse and Knudsen.
Who would have believed fiveandtop scorers in the division?
Well done to all including MM.

Garner is going to be so mad at missing out on the goals. Bad news for Bristol City.

Very entertaining game, so good to see such an attacking side put out by MM. Some of the interchanging of positions by our attacking players was a delight. A special mention should be made of the tireless work put in by Garner, the wonderful return to the team of Waghorn and the delightful play of McGoldrick.
IMO the best home performance by a Town team for many a year, and that includes last years win against Newcastle.

For me Waghorn MOTM...but McGoldrick, Garner or Spence could easily have won it. One of the best performances in a long time...and the great think was Sunderland weren't that bad. McGeady is a player and a half...Spence and Knudsen had a difficult time containing him.
Only stat I disagree with here is Billy Jones...I assume the high rating is because he played so badly? He seemed lost out there and genuinely afraid of all our players. Skimmed more often than freshly skimmed milk....one not to keep an eye on as a future signing lol.

I didn't see the game. Ratings suggest that we slightly dominated midfield and caused them more trouble than they caused us? And when we got the ball into their area it was comical (youtube clip-Sunday League) defending by their two centre-backs? Please correct me if I am wrong.

Defensively they were highly suspect...but that shouldn't take anything away from our excellent attacking play. On another day, Garner could have scored 5. Billy Jones really, really poor. I have never seen him play before but Sunderland need to make some defensive signings in Jan.

waiting for this performance for a long time, McGoldrick and Waghorn were the pick for me but all played well and we actually played some great football on the deck, passing was much better. Look forward to more of this and Webster and Huws still to return, ITFC leading goalscorers in the league. Well done Mick and the coaching team, bring on Bristol City who also seem to be playing well.

That first half spell of possession play with Cole Skuse as anchor man was electrfying not only to me but to the Sunderland players they looked totally outplayed.
