Town to Sign Neymar Lookalike Cotter
Friday, 26th Jan 2018 20:36

TWTD understands Town are set to sign Limerick right-back or midfielder Barry Cotter before the transfer window closes on Wednesday.

The 19-year-old, who has also played at centre-half, recently spent time on trial at Playford Road and the clubs subsequently agreed a five-figure fee.

Capped three times by the Republic of Ireland at U19 level, Cotter made nine League of Ireland Premier Division starts and two sub appearances for Limerick during the 2017 Irish season, his first-team breakthrough campaign.

Three years ago, when joining Limerick, Cotter went viral across the globe due to his resemblance to Brazilian star Neymar.

I did not realise how many psychic supporters we have, how do you know we don't scout outside Ireland just because we have signed a few players from Ireland it does not mean we don't look elsewhere.

Hope we're scouting the Dutch league by rfretwell 24 Jan 2018 15:27
Transfer fees are alot lower there - maybe we can unearth another Reuser let alone a young Muhren/Thijssen.

Good luck to the lad, a five figure fee and presumably small wages definitely worth the punt. All the naysayers will be singing his name if he's a hit and it will be a pat on the back for everyone apart from MM. If he's a flop it will be completely the fault of MM, and no one else... Same old, same old TWTD boo boys. COYB

Keiffer Moore never even scored a goal for us and played a bit part in ten games and was anonymous in them. If you're running an exchange and mart for non league players he's a good buy. But as the proceeds go immediately off shore has no influence on the fortunes of ITFC.

Why does McCartney never blood his youngsters. Now our season is over in would love to see the boys given a chance. That way we won't continue to see the likes of Marriot lost to the club
