TWTD understands Town are set to sign Limerick right-back or midfielder Barry Cotter before the transfer window closes on Wednesday.

The 19-year-old, who has also played at centre-half, recently spent time on trial at Playford Road and the clubs subsequently agreed a five-figure fee.

Capped three times by the Republic of Ireland at U19 level, Cotter made nine League of Ireland Premier Division starts and two sub appearances for Limerick during the 2017 Irish season, his first-team breakthrough campaign.

Three years ago, when joining Limerick, Cotter went viral across the globe due to his resemblance to Brazilian star Neymar.

If you're running an exchange and mart for non league players he's a good buy. But as the proceeds go immediately off shore has no influence on the fortunes of ITFC.
