Knudsen's Denmark Reach World Cup Last 16
Tuesday, 26th Jun 2018 17:25

Blues full-back Jonas Knudsen’s Denmark secured a place in the last 16 at the World Cup following a dull 0-0 draw with France at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.

Knudsen was again an unused sub and the 25-year-old is still to add to his three full international caps at the finals.

With Australia, who needed to win to stand a chance of qualifying for the next stage, losing 2-0 to Peru, the French and the Danes played out the tournament’s first goalless draw which saw them both through to the knockout phase, finishing first and second in Group C.

The Danes will face Croatia, the winners of Group D, in Nizhny Novgorod on Sunday.

Dreadful game, wasn't it?

Almost as bad as Burton at home...

Yes I think it was...France have been in slumber mode since it began, bet they're glad only to be playing Argentina in the knock-out phase, as for Denmark they've only got through thanks to a fortunate win against Peru.
