Sereni Deal Imminent?

Brescia president Luigi Corioni says that the loan deal to take Matteo Sereni to his club is all but done. Earlier today TWTD reported that the Town keeper was set for a move to Brescia with George Burley later revealing that it would be a loan move.

Corioni said: "We like this player a lot, we can say in the next few hours he'll complete his move."

Sereni's personal terms are said to be the only thing left in question, however, he has already indicated that he will be willing to take a pay-cut to return to Italy.

Gianluca Nanni, Brescia's head of marketing, is a bit more cautious than his club president, however: "Sereni's agent proposed him to us. He's a great solution but we have to consider the economical side of this operation.

"Right now, we are not able to pay his salary and we still have two good keepers on our roster.

"We'll see in the future but the only way could be a loan. I repeat, nothing's done, but he could be a great solution."

Both Brescia's other keepers, Pavel Srnicek and Luca Castellazzi, are linked with moves to England, Srnicek to Manchester City and Castellazzi to Sunderland.
