Thursday, 11th Oct 2018 20:30
Felixstowe & Walton United are celebrating Non-League Day on Saturday with among other things a new beer and a pay what you want admission policy as they take on AFC Sudbury in the Bostik League North Division (KO 3pm).
The club is launching Seasider, a premium 4.6% craft pilsner produced in conjunction with Greene King to celebrate the club’s achievements over the last couple of seasons.
BBC Radio Suffolk Life’s a Pitch will be broadcasting live from midday until 2pm.
The official charity of Non-League Day is Prostate Cancer UK and the proceeds from the 50/50 draw and collection buckets will benefit this cause.
Felixstowe & Walton United are seventh in the Bostik North after promotion last season and boast the highest average attendance in the league of over 400.
A crowd approaching four figures is expected on Saturday and the club urge spectators to arrive early to avoid congestion at the turnstiles.
Felixstowe & Walton United’s Goldstar Ground is also the home of Ipswich Town Women, who host C&K Basildon, managed by Steve Tilson, on Sunday at 2pm in the FA Women’s National League Plate.
Portman Road season ticket holders will be admitted free to this match and all ITFC Women’s games at the Goldstar Ground.
