ITFC Women at Chichester in FA Cup
Saturday, 30th Nov 2019 13:12

Ipswich Town Women are in FA Cup second-round action away against Chichester City at the Bunn Leisure Stadium on Sunday (KO 1pm).

Chichester are currently bottom of the FAWNL Southern Premier Division South - a tier above the Blues - on only one point having failed to win any of the league games up to now.

The Tractor Girls, who remain three points clear at the top of the FAWNL Division One South East having had no game last weekend, defeated AFC Basildon 5-0 in the first round three weeks ago to set up the tie.

“Looking forward to it,” manager Joe Sheehan said. “I’m pleased we didn’t draw someone in our league, it gives us a chance to play someone different, from a league above as well, so it’ll be a good test for us.

“We played a couple of teams in that division in pre-season and it was a good test.”

He added: “As always, whether it’s the league or particularly this cup, we’ll have to make sure we’re at our best to get the results week-in, week-out.

"So far we’ve managed to do that and we’re looking forward to getting back at it this Sunday and hopefully progressing.”
