Town's Academy sides both beat Birmingham at Town's Training Centre on Saturday morning. The U19s ran out 1-0 victors while the U17s notched an impressive 4-2 win.

The scorer for the U19s was Robert Dickinson while Scott Barron (2), summer signing from Coventry Craig Reid and Daniel Flack all hit the target for the U17s.

The U17s game was held up for 15 minutes due to Town player Ben Pickford breaking his wrist.

Dean Bowditch is currently out of the U17s side with a groin injury but is expected to be fit for his next England call-up.

Former Academy player Alan Connell scored his first league goal for Bournemouth on Saturday, a goal which proved to be the winner as they beat Macclesfield 1-0 at Moss Rose.
