![]() Friday, 11th Oct 2002 15:59 Town's UEFA Cup first round opponents FK Sartid have been fined for their fans' behaviour during last week's match in Serbia. A number of Town players complained of racist abuse from the Serb supporters. Sartid were fined 25,000 Swiss Francs, about £10,787, for the behaviour of their fans when "animal gestures and noises were directed at Ipswich players". Also fined were PSV and Hajduk Split for similar incidents against other English clubs. All those charged have until October 14th to appeal.
