Fraser Linked With Swans
Friday, 10th Dec 2021 12:11

Blues midfielder Scott Fraser is being linked with a reunion with his former MK Dons boss Russell Martin at Swansea City.

According to Planet Swans, the Welshmen, 14th in the Championship, are eyeing Fraser, who joined the Blues from the Dons, then managed by Martin, in the summer.

Dundee-born Fraser signed a three-year deal in the summer and has made 17 starts and two sub appearances for the Blues, scoring his only goal on his debut against Morecambe on the opening day.

If there is anything in the report, whether the Blues might be interested in doing a deal would depend on the thoughts of the incoming manager.

In some areas we have an over-abundance of good players. In other key areas, we are light. If some have to go to allow us to balance the squad by bringing others in, then so be it. I wouldn't be disappointed if any of our new recruits were to leave although some would have to be replaced. I would be more upset if we sold someone like Bailey Clements for peanuts. ATM I would say we need a CB and two additional strikers (or Norwood + 1), so someone's got to go. The current squad needs to start playing for the shirt and for 90 minutes. COYB

Russell Martin thinks he's a good player and he knows him well. Like many of the players we signed he just hasn't fitted in at Ipswich. Pigott for example he dosent even look football league standard lacking any fight or desire to deserve a place in the team.
