A couple of members of the Town squad appear to be backing Tony Mowbray in his bid to become Town's new manager. The temporary boss takes his side to Reading's Madejski Stadium this afternoon.

Andy Marshall says he and his team-mates will give their all for the ex-Blues' skipper: "Tony has helped me so much. I want to repay him.

"I'll give my all for Tony and I know all the others lads will. He's a great professional who is getting on with the job in the way we knew he would."

Jermaine Wright says Mowbray's training sessions have been received warmly so far: "He [Mogga] has been putting in his own ideas and it has gone down well.

"We have nothing to prove to him because he knows us all anyway.

"There is no doubt that Mogga has a tough, ruthless streak. I know that without a doubt. But that is what is needed and it is another of his attributes.

"He has his ideas and he has learnt a lot of the years from the Gaffer and from other places."
