Milton, Ukrainian Fans and Ames on Life's a Pitch
Saturday, 15th Oct 2022 09:19

Simon Milton, Ukrainian fans and Guardian journalist Nick Ames will be the guests on Life’s a Pitch, which is live on BBC Radio Suffolk at lunchtime (12-2pm).

Host Mark Murphy will be joined in the studio by legend-in-residence Terry Butcher, Tractor Boy and TWTD's Phil Ham.

Milton will be paying tribute to his former Town manager John Duncan, who died aged 73 last week, from Ghana where he is refurbishing a primary school.

Back in the summer, TWTD posters Nick Braley and Josh Edwards began raising funds to buy season tickets for two Ukrainian refugees, Vicktoriia and Mykyta, Nick was set to host.

In the end, enough cash was raised for seven season tickets, while a number of the Blues' new Ukrainian fans were recently given a tour of Portman Road.

Town supporter Ames recently spent time in Ukraine writing about the domestic football league’s restart.

Will Town beat Lincoln? Increasingly confident that this could be the Blues’ year to exit League One?

Send your thoughts on those questions or anything else via Mark’s Twitter or during the show by phone on 0800 141 2121 or text to 81333 starting your message with SFK.

The show can be heard on 95.5FM, 95.9FM, 103.9FM and 104.6FM, and on DAB, or online via a widget on this page by clicking here.
