Earlier Kick-Off For Peterborough Clash Friday, 4th Nov 2022 12:45 Town’s home game against Peterborough United on Saturday 10th December has switched to a 12.30pm kick-off due to a clash with the World Cup quarter-finals.
Posh’s visit to Portman Road, which was previously set to start at 3pm, has been moved as a result following the advice of the Suffolk Constabulary.
Two of the four World Cup quarter-finals are due to be that day, at 3pm and 7pm, with England potentially involved in the latter.

So most fans will not be home in time from Portman Road to watch the World Cup Quarter Final! It is ridiculous these games are on the same day.

"Advice of Suffolk constabulary"? Why would the police think it an issue if an Ipswich home game clashes with an England game on TV?

England, if involved in the quarter finals, will play at 7pm on that day (or the same time the previous evening). We cannot play in the 3pm games

Good decision for all us Ipswich fans who travel from distant places on match days. Despite the PSG reference I live in Sleaford. A 17.00 finish would have meant I would have missed the 19.00 quarter final. A game England could potentially feature if they win the group. I will miss the 15.00 quater final, but who cares, Ipswich come first!

Really only interested in Town. This world cup is, despite FIFAs arrogant memo today, morally bankrupt and a total farce

Why are we playing our matches while the World Cup is on?
