Commentator Woolley Celebrating 20 Years on Mic
Friday, 10th Feb 2023 11:09

BBC Radio Suffolk commentator Brenner Woolley is celebrating 20 years in his role.

Woolley first took the microphone to call a Town game at Bradford City on 1st February 2003 when Joe Royle’s Blues were beaten 2-0 by the Bantams.

In an interview with colleague Graeme Mac on BBC Radio Suffolk's Thursday Night Sports Special, Woolley recalls that first game as well as the highs and lows of his two decades commentating on Town.

Lol, I'll give you that on Westlake up-speaking TT!
Does give a good pro's view on the game though, and avoids the soundbites of so many co-comms.
So come on ITFC let's get Radio Suffolk back on iFollow

Always liked Brenner. Does an excellent job. If anyone watched the Lincoln away game this season on iFollow then you'll know how good we have it with Brenner. The two commentators that day were clueless and bias.

Well done on 20 years Brenner. Keep up the good work !

Well done Brenner.
Superb commentator.
Ifollow is all the worse without him.

I live away from Suffolk & refuse to listen to IFollow audio but since Radioplayer have lost the BBC contract I have been listening to Radio Suffolk on BBC sounds app. Last Saturday's match v Cambridge was broadcast live as was the Burnley match. Fingers crossed that they do this afternoon with SW

The Radio Suffolk Cambridge league game coverage was available on BBC sounds app. But perhaps they made a mistake and forgot to turn it off!
