Blues loan striker Dane Scarlett won a cap but missed a penalty for the England Elite League squad as they were beaten 2-0 in Romania.

Scarlett, who is on loan with Town for the season from Spurs, started and played the first 68 minutes. The frontman missed from the spot in first-half injury time.

The England youngsters take on Portugal at Stadium MK on Tuesday.

The 19-year-old has previously won caps at U15, U16, U19, U20 and U21 levels.

As for the elite squad to answer above - Formerly known as the MU20s, the England Elite League squad is open to players born between 1 January 2002 and 31 December 2004 and will see them in action against Romania, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Czechia, Poland and Netherlands across the rest of the season.

MK1 added 14:34 - Oct 13 Young player with a lot still to learn. Not sure that I agree that he is " one of the best young strikers in Europe", but I am sure that KM and his team will only make him better. Onward and upward young Dane.
