What an entertaining game that was. Villa showed their level once we scored first half, but second half we really looked the part. At times, you wouldn't have known who was playing Champions League football this season and who had just come up. Quality, quality performance. Sure some will say, but what about their 2 goals? so and so was at fault and we could have stopped them. It doesn't matter. The whole side is learning and adapting to life in the PL and from what I have seen today, things are looking just fine. Delap was impressive as was Phillips and Hutchinson. Work still to be done, but we are a lot further ahead from where I thought we would be. Credit to the whole side and backroom. Brilliant day at Portman Road. |

Can you give an update on the hamster please. This place was alive last night and the poor little thing must have been knackered. Please tell me all welfare guidelines are being followed.
Also, does said hamster have a name? Perhaps a competition on here to name it if not. And, is there more than 1. Seems a lot of work for one so small. Is there a horde of hamsters? |

And we have a home Premier League game to play at normal kick off time. We have a squad busting with quality and a manager eager to prove himself at this level. A packed out Portman Road roaring the boy on and all our new shinny signings dancing their way around a sun drenched pitch. What a time to be an Ipswich Town supporter. We are so lucky to be where we are and we should all be so grateful to the powers that be for getting us here. Let us show our appreciation this afternoon. We are Ipswich Town and bl00dy proud of it. |

A couple of seasons ago, for our first away game, I was setting off for the Forest of Dean to see FGR v ITFC. Today, I am about to leave for Manchester to see two Champions of England. I have always loved our football club, but this feels like a new beginning. Crazy times. Safe journey everyone and enjoy the game, whatever the result. |
