Davis in Team of the Week
Tuesday, 2nd Apr 2024 16:27

Blues left-back Leif Davis has been named in the Team of the Week following his performance in yesterday’s stupendous 3-2 victory over Southampton at Portman Road.

The 24-year-old lashed in Town’s opening goal, played a role in Nathan Broadhead’s equaliser, then supplied the pass for Jeremy Sarmiento’s late, late winner.

Also named in the select XI is former Blues loan keeper Asmir Begovic, currently with QPR.

Well deserved, but Miray always seems to be overlooked.

Well done Leif, well deserved, but has anyone seen Chaplin? Last seen heading in an Easterly direction around 19:23 last night?

Leif was integrally involved in all the goals including the two that Southampton scored, so he definitely had an impact on the game.
Morsy was probably our man of the match just because of the consistency of his performance. The people picking these teams are probably just looking at stats, Morsy only got the one assist, but especially the winner when he made a bursting run held off the Southampton player and made the pass into Leif, you couldn't imagine any other player making that happen.

No Russell Martin for manager? He won't be happy with that, he'll definitely think he deserved to win it.
