Found it difficult to just listen to Radio Suffolk commentary to understand how the match was going. Looking at the brief highlights it seems we competed well, rode our luck once again in defence and has to be said very poor finishing, that is not up to Premiership standard. Strikers when given good chances just can't finish. Weak headers at the goalkeeper or off target when they should have been in the net. We must improve and I'm confident we will.

Hard to believe Szmodics missed that free header...

what is not shown in the highlights is that the Southampton goal came from a bad clearance

Naive defending by Tuanzebe at the Saints goal. You just cannot do that in the PL.

Szmodics was offside, fortunately, for the missed header

Watching these highlights in comparison to MOTD last night just shows the bias by Lineker and Co. OK we had some sloppy moments but we also had some excellent chances to score not shown on MOTD. McKenna was spot on with his summary of the match. We'll certainly get better throughout the season and when new players adapt to our style of play.

Great to see that we in NZ can again see these highlights and even better they are longer than previous ones. Thank you to whoever has made these available to us.
