![]() Wednesday, 30th Apr 2003 11:37 Former Town full-back Mauricio Taricco says he fancies moving to Italy if Spurs no longer want him. The Argentine moved to White Hart Lane from Town in November 1998 but is still highly popular amongst Town supporters. Taricco, who joined the Blues from Argentinos Juniors for £175,000 in 1994, is now 30 and if he is unwanted at Spurs he feels that Italy will provide a new challenge: "If things are going well for me at Tottenham, I may not want to leave and will stay in England for longer. "But the club may not want me, in which case I would like to play in Italy. "I proved myself in Argentina and I feel I have proved that I can play at the top in England, so it would be nice to test myself in Italy and see if I could do it there. "My dream is to win something with Spurs before I leave. "I won't go back to live in Argentina when I have finished playing football. "My father is from Italy and I will go to live there at the end of my career. I will live in a small village called Villa Simius, which is in Sardinia. "I would like to go into real estate. I already have one property in Sardinia and hope to purchase more in Italy in the future." The former Town number three has two years left on his Tottenham contract.
