Was an eye opener on MOTD last time we were in the Prem that they criticized Leif when he was left exposed by Kieran's system, with substandard players to cover for him....he really missed Luongo's protection in fact, but no one on MOTD ever understood any of that. This time. Improved player of course, but the system gives him a bit more protection, we have better players around him, and so he can still get forward without being called out for being a muppet defensively. Congrats Leif. brilliant start !

Mercian added 16:27 - Sep 15 I think Calvert-Luin will win it as he was excellent last night. Leif has started the season on fire though.

Saxonblue74 added 16:30 - Sep 15 He's been excellent. I remember the pre season games, GON played him a couple of times as a 10, perhaps that has had an impact as he looks the sharpest I've ever seen him.

Klassic_Ben added 19:08 - Sep 15 Well deserved - think we all know that he didn’t perform to the level he could last time we were here, (for whatever reason) so great to see him playing the way he is.
