Wilkinson Wins Cap in England Victory Wednesday, 30th Sep 2026 14:25 Blues youngster Oliver Wilkinson won his second England U18s cap as the Young Lions beat South Korea 2-1 at the UEFA Friendship Cup in Switzerland this morning. Wilkinson, 17, started and played the first 60 minutes with England claiming victory with a goal in injury time. The central defender had also started the previous game, a 2-1 victory over Egypt, having been a late call into the squad. England confirmed top spot in group with a 100 per cent record and will face the other group winner on Saturday. Wilkinson joined Town from Barnsley a year ago - having made one senior EFL Trophy appearance for the Tykes as a 15-year-old - and signed his first pro deal in February. He previously won caps at U15, U16 - who he captained - and U17 levels. Photo: Matchday Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
