![]() Sunday, 20th Jul 2003 09:29 Martin O'Neill has ruled out any chance of Javier Sanchez Broto returning to Parkhead after a new contract couldn't be agreed. While the Spaniard was very keen to extend his stay at Celtic, his pay demands exceeded the valuation set by his employer but O'Neill was still impressed with the keeper: "Funnily enough, I like Javier enormously, but it was about money". Celtic have a number of keepers that the manager values, especially David Marshall "I think everyone knows my feeling on young Marshall. He definitely has a future in the game. He works hard and is enjoying being away with us. He is a fine keeper." Broto is still in Town's squad on their pre-season tour and scheduled to play against Helsingør IF tonight.
