Town keeper Andy Marshall says he may be interested in a move to Second Division Luton Town. The custodian has turned down the chance to join Plymouth on loan but a switch to the Hatters looks more appealing.

Marshall says that he would prefer not to drop into the Second Division but Luton's closeness to his home makes them a more attractive proposition: "Just over a year ago I was playing in the Premiership and last season in Division One.

"I know I'm good enough to carry on playing at least that level and am looking to stay in Division One or join a Premier club.

"As for Luton, because of its relative locality, it might be more likely."

A loan appears the only way the keeper, well out of Joe Royle's plans, is going to get first team football before his contract is up in the summer.

Marshall, one of Town's highest paid players, has turned down the chance to join Plymouth and, despite reports of a second approach from Paul Sturrock's side, is not interested in going to Home Park.

Sturrock watched Town's reserves on Monday when they lost 4-0 to Chelsea.
