Town manager George Burley was unhappy at the lack of chances created and surfeit of errors. He was particularly annoyed bythe second goal: "Richard Wright will be unhappy with the second goal but he is a smashing lad and also made some good saves. He has done well for us for a long time now."

Burley added that he thought Town would snatch a draw after ha made a few changes when at 1-0: "I felt we could go on and get a draw, but once it went 2-0 it was always going to be difficult."

Former Millwall man Jermaine Wright is chuffed to bits at meeting his old club in the Worthington Cup. The Town midfielder said: "I'm really looking forward to this, going back to the New Den where I started in sport. Of course we will be looking for a good result and are confident we can progress."

David Sheepshanks continues his recovery after being released from hospital yesterday. The Town chairman said of his health scare: "I am very pleased to be back home and am feeling a good deal better. I am going to ease myself back to work fairly gently for the first week or two on doctor's orders, but I am assured that I will make a full recovery in time."

The Town chairman complimented the doctors and nurses who treated him at Ipswich Hospital saying his "eyes had been opened to the wonderful work that is done there [Ipswich Hospital]."

While in hospital Town's chairman took the opportunity to visit some patients in the children's ward.

The hospital said that he had responded well to treatment and that he should be OK in a few weeks.
