![]() Wednesday, 29th Oct 2003 10:48 Midfield loanee Alan Mahon says he is hopeful of a return to Town faster than was expected. The Blackburn player's three-month loan has been suspended while he recovers from a hamstring injury. Mahon will actually be staying at Town throughout his recuperation but will be in regular contact with Blackburn's medical staff. A scan last week showed a slight tear to the hamstring muscle which was expected to keep the Irishman out of action for three-to-four weeks. However, Mahon told the club site he is expecting a faster return: "It's feeling a lot better now and I'm hopeful that I will be back in action sooner than we first thought. "I have really enjoyed my time at Ipswich and want to get out there with the lads as quickly as possible."
