![]() Tuesday, 20th Jan 2004 11:22 Former Town striker and academy coach Paul Goddard has left his job as first team coach with West Ham. Goddard joined the Hammers from Town in July 2001 as Glenn Roeder's right-hand man. New West Ham boss Alan Pardew says he is looking to change the atmosphere at Upton Park: "Paul is a real gentleman and he has helped me settle in here. "He has been totally professional but I just felt the chemistry needed to change. I have decided to bring in a new coach." Colchester United boss Phil Parkinson is one of the names being mentioned as a potential Pardew target, the pair having previously worked together at Reading.
