Bart-Williams a Doubt
Bart-Williams a Doubt

Town are likely to be without midfielder Chris Bart-Williams when they face Millwall at Portman Road on Saturday. The 29-year-old is still suffering with his back problem.

Manager Joe Royle says the Sierra Leone-born player will be assessed later in the week: "Chris is resting more than anything else and, while we'll look at him on Thursday, it is more likely to be next week."

Injury has kept Bart-Williams down to just eight starts since his move from Charlton was made permanent in December last year.

The ex-Sheffield Wednesday man joined Town until the end of the season on a free transfer with the Addicks continuing to pay the majority of his wages. If Town are promoted then that cash is due back to the Addicks.

Jim Magilton is OK to face Millwall despite being on the receiving end of a wild challenge early in the derby on Sunday. He has a sore foot but is not considered a worry.

Central defender John McGreal could also be involved against the Lions after missing the Norwich game with a knee injury. He has been pencilled in to return to training on Thursday.

Chris Makin will see a top hip specialist this week. The full-back's progress was halted when he only managed to complete 45 minutes of a reserve game. The specialist will advise what steps he needs to take next with more surgery a possibility.
