Alun Armstrong's on-off-on-off-on loan deal with Bradford is back off again with Town recalling the striker from Valley Parade as cover due to the current injury crisis.

The Bantams announced yesterday evening that they Armstrong would be rejoining them but Joe Royle told the club site that the former Stockport and Boro man is to remain at Portman Road: "With the injuries we have got, we have to recall Alun from his loan at Bradford.

"He will be playing in a friendly for the reserves against Cambridge University today and hopefully, if he comes through that, he will come into consideration for the first team squad here."
