![]() Wednesday, 30th Jun 2004 10:37 Midfielder Jermaine Wright signed on the dotted line at Leeds this morning, having completed his medical and all the formalities. The 28-year-old and Leeds agreed a deal yesterday after Wright had turned down the chance to stay at Portman Road for another two years. Wright has signed for three years and is looking forward to the task in hand at Elland Road: "Having spent the last five years at Ipswich I just felt it was time for a new challenge really. "Ipswich are a lovely club and I have made a lot of friends over the years, but I am now focussed on the challenge that lies ahead. "Although there was interest from Premiership clubs, as soon as I saw the set-up at Leeds and spoke to the manager, I decided that this was where I wanted to play my football. "Leeds are a huge club and I cannot wait to try and help them back into the Premiership."
