Town's U18s beat their counterparts from Norwich 1-0 after a goal from one-time Canary trialist Danny Haynes just four minutes into the match. Haynes also scored the Town goal in the 1-1 draw between the two sides earlier in the season.

The Blues were lucky to remain in front after a first half goalmouth scramble and just before the break a Town defender had to help out keeper Shane Supple after he had been lobbed by Andrew Cave-Brown.

Norwich keeper Shane Herbert had to make a good save from Cathal Lordan, and Town held on for all three points.

Robert Eagle, with the Town's U17s two seasons ago, was in the Norwich line-up.

Town: Shane Supple, Sammy Moore, Stuart Ainsley, Liam Trotter, James Krause, Michael Synnott, Fraser Beveridge (Owen Garvan 60), Cathal Lordan, Blair Hammond (Kieron Leabon 68), Danny Haynes, Liam Craig. Subs not used: Jack Haverson, Darryl Knights.
