![]() Friday, 15th Apr 2005 10:44 Portsmouth manager Alain Perrin is reported to be considering recalling defender David Unsworth from his loan spell at Town. Pompey lost first choice left-back Matt Taylor to injury last weekend. Taylor suffered a bad thigh strain in the Charlton game last Saturday and broke down again in training during the week. Central defender Dejan Stefanovic and midfielder Giannis Skopelitis have also joined the Fratton Park injury list, putting pressure on their squad. Perrin says he is going to assess the situation before deciding whether to play midfielder Richard Hughes at left-back or perhaps to look to Unsworth: "I will have to see how everybody is after the final training session." If Perrin does decide to recall Unsworth, it is unlikely to be until after this weekend. The 31-year-old is on a three-month loan which is scheduled to end after the Brighton game. The former Everton player would not be available if Town are involved in the play-offs. Players over the age of 24 can only go on loan for a maximum of 93 days.
