![]() Tuesday, 14th Jun 2005 14:23 Boss Joe Royle has confirmed that Reading striker Nicky Forster is a player he is interested in bringing to Portman Road over the summer. The 31-year-old is available on a free transfer having turned down a one-year deal with the Royals. Royle admits targeting the former Brentford, Gillingham and Birmingham striker but says that a move will not take place quite yet: "Nicky Forster is definitely a plyer who interests us but that's all I am going to say on the subject." Forster left Reading because they were unwilling to offer him more than a year, but the Blues will offer the former England U21 international a two-year deal. However, Sheffield United, Burnley, QPR, Millwall, Stoke and Watford are also keen on signing the striker. Royle is currently on holiday Majorca but has continued talks with out-of-contract trio Tommy Miller, Shefki Kuqi and Jim Magilton, Fabian Wilnis having already said yes to a new one-year deal.
