![]() Friday, 27th Jan 2006 14:20 Striker Adam Proudlock says he is determined to win a longer term deal at Portman Road. The 24-year-old signed a contract until the end of the season earlier in the month after initially joining on loan from Sheffield Wednesday in October. Proudlock, who has been sidelined with a knee injury in recent weeks, told the club site that he has a lot of work to do: "I know that I need to produce something special over the rest of the season to prove to the boss that I am worth keeping, and I'm going to work my socks off to try and achieve that. "There is still a slight discomfort in my knee but it's a lot better than it was and I've had no reaction in training. "The next three months are massive for me and I need to make them count. I couldn't afford to be spending it recovering from an operation because that would have seriously damaged my chances of getting a move here and meant I would have to spend next summer trying to get fit and find a new club. "I'm desperate to be involved here and have to make sure that if I get a chance to show what I can do, I take it."
