![]() Wednesday, 15th Feb 2006 23:56 Town have announced that they are trialing Nwoso 'Henry' Kanu, the younger brother of West Brom's Nwankwo Kanu, a former Eintracht Frankfurt and Union Berlin striker. However, our research suggests the trialist may actually be Nwankwo Kanu's cousin, Henry Nwosu. Nwosu, who was 26 on Tuesday, started his career in Nigeria with Iwuanyanwu Nationale in 1996, moving on to Polish club LKS Lodz for a year and then on to Eintracht Frankfurt for four seasons. More recently he spent time with Waldhof Mannheim and St Pauli in the German second and third divisions respectively, and with Israeli club Hapoel Tel Aviv. Nwosu was a member of the Nigerian squad at the 2000 Sydney Olympics and is not currently attached to a club. Boss Joe Royle told the club site: "He will spend a few days training with us and we will have a look at him." The Town manager is also continuing to look for a loan striker as cover for the legion of injured frontmen.
