Town's Darren Bent was the star of the show as England's U19s beat Germany's youngsters 3-1 at Portman Road this evening. Bent scored two and came close to a hat-trick with three close efforts after his second in the 72nd minute. Town's other England U19 man Matt Bloomfield came on after 64 minutes.

Town are advising supporters coming to Portman Road for tonight's U19 international to arrive as early as possible. 22,000 people are expected at the game with many likely to be first time visitors to Portman Rpoad.

German U19 manager Uli Stielike says his side could be intimidated by the 22,000 crowd at Portman Road tonight. The former West Germany, Real Madrid, Borussia Mönchengladbach and Xamax Neuchatel libero or midfielder says that despite this it will be a good experience for his team.
