Town didn't really deserve mauch better than a defeat and to add insult to this they lost Manu Thetis to injury at half-time. New French loanee Patrice Maurel was impressive, looking quite nippy playing at right midfield. A scan showed that the problem will clear up if the player rests for three weeks. Meanwhile fellow centre-half injury victims Manu Thetis and Mark Venus are both on the road to recovery. Manu is likely to play in tomorrow's home reserve game with Millwall (KO 2pm), whilst Venus is rated as doubtful for the Crewe match at the weekend, but is likely to be available for the game with Birmingham the Sunday after. |
