Jim Magilton will captain Northern Ireland in Saturday's game against the Czech Republic if he recovers from a groin injury. With Steve Lomas and Gerry Taggart both out Magilton is Sammy McIlroy's choice to take over the armband. The injury is not thought to be too serious, although he missed training today. |

Town defender Wayne Brown has gone off on loan to QPR for the rest of the season. Brown has hardly played for Town this season due to a mixture of injury and competition for places. Last season he established himself in the first team squad, but he has featured a lot less this season. |

Reports suggest that Town are bringing another Heerenveen player to Portman Road for a short spell. Last week it was reported that Town were to bring youngster Marc van Eijk to spend some time with the Blues and now his team-mate, Belgian U21 international, Ian Claes is reported to be spending a similar spell. |

The FA have announced that the first leg of Town's FA Youth Cup semi-final will be played at Highbury on 5th April with a 7pm kick-off. As yet details of the second leg have not been decided, although these should be available later in the week. |

Town manager George Burley has said he wants to bring in an attacking midfielder before Thursday's transfer deadline. Town have sought to find a player to fill this gap in the squad since last summer, but despite interest in Claus Jensen, Gert Verheyen, Hassan Kachloul and at least one other unnamed player no-one has been signed. |
